AI Readiness Assessment.

A position assessment in two weeks: data, processes, skills, governance.

DACH-wide

Before you invest in AI, an honest position assessment pays off — because the most expensive AI failures almost always have the same cause: initiatives built on prerequisites that did not exist. Data that is not accessible. Processes that no one documented. Responsibilities that remained vague.

Over two to three weeks, the AI Readiness Assessment examines the four dimensions on which AI initiatives actually fail or succeed: data, processes, organisation and governance. You do not receive a maturity radar for the management poster, but a prioritised action plan with an honest investment estimate — a robust basis for decisions.

01

Kick-off & document review (days 1–3)

Defining objectives with management, reviewing the systems landscape, data architecture and existing policies. Focusing on the use-case areas relevant to you.

02

Interviews & deep dives (weeks 1–2)

Structured conversations with IT, data owners and two to three business areas; technical samples into the actual data quality rather than reliance on self-reporting.

03

Evaluation (week 2)

Classification of the four dimensions — data, processes, organisation, governance — with concrete findings and their consequence for your planned initiatives: what works now, what needs preparatory work, what is illusory.

04

Results workshop (week 3)

Presentation to management, discussion of the measures, prioritisation of the preparatory work — and a clear recommendation as to which initiative you can realistically start with.

  • Readiness findings across four dimensions: data, processes, organisation, governance
  • Technically verified assessment of the data situation for your relevant use-case areas
  • Prioritised action plan: what must happen before the first AI initiative
  • Realistic investment estimate for preparatory work and first initiatives
  • Initial assessment of EU AI Act and data protection exposure
  • Management presentation as a basis for decisions by management/shareholders
What does the AI Readiness Assessment cost?
As a concise fixed-price package in the low five-figure range, depending on company size and the number of areas to be included. We name the specific figure after the initial conversation.
How does the assessment differ from AI strategy consulting?
The assessment answers „Can we?“ — the strategy answers „What, and in which order?“. The ideal approach is the combination: readiness first, then strategy. Those who already have concrete initiatives start with the assessment as a reality check.
Do you really examine data quality technically?
Yes — with samples taken from real data sets rather than interviews alone. Self-reported assessments of data quality are notoriously optimistic; the sample protects you from building initiatives on quicksand.
What happens after the assessment?
You decide on the basis of the action plan: preparatory work with your own teams, implementation with placed specialists, or directly a first initiative if readiness allows. The plan is deliberately written so that any service provider can work with it.
